A friend of mine sent me an email with some suggestions on having your Elf on the Shelf encourage good deeds. I thought that was a great idea. Heres a list of ideas to get you started:
- Fill a jar with 20 slips of paper that say things I love about someone (grandma, Daddy etc)
- Donate toys to Toys for Tots, Elf on the Shelf can set an example by donating one of his too.
- Go and Visit Grandma
- Write a kind note to a friend
- Write a kind note to your teacher
- Say three nice things to your brother
- Bake cookies for the neighbors
- Bake muffins for the neighbors
- Make dinner for the neighbors
- Donate books to the school library
- Give someone a hug today
- Help Mom around the house
- Do something nice for Dad today
- Read a book to someone in your family
- Donate old shoes and clothes
- Make a list of everything you are thankful for
- Bring flowers to someone
- Make a bird feeder
- Make a hot chocolate treat for the neighbors, bag with packet of coco and marshmallows
- Draw Christmas pictures to give with your gifts
- Donate food to a food bank
- Give out free hugs to friends and family today!
- Take turns playing with the dog outside.
- Clean up a room in the house to help Mom and Dad out
