Have Your Elf on the Shelf Encourage Good Deeds

Elf on the Shelf loves Popcorn

A friend of mine sent me an email with some suggestions on having your Elf on the Shelf encourage good deeds. I thought that was a great idea. Heres a list of ideas to get you started:

  • Fill a jar with 20 slips of paper that say things I love about someone (grandma, Daddy etc)
  • Donate toys to Toys for Tots, Elf on the Shelf can set an example by donating one of his too.
  • Go and Visit Grandma
  • Write a kind note to a friend
  • Write a kind note to your teacher
  • Say three nice things to your brother
  • Bake cookies for the neighbors
  • Bake muffins for the neighbors
  • Make dinner for the neighbors
  • Donate books to the school library
  • Give someone a hug today
  • Help Mom around the house
  • Do something nice for Dad today
  • Read a book to someone in your family
  • Donate old shoes and clothes
  • Make a list of everything you are thankful for
  • Bring flowers to someone
  • Make a bird feeder
  • Make a hot chocolate treat for the neighbors, bag with packet of coco and marshmallows
  • Draw Christmas pictures to give with your gifts
  • Donate food to a food bank
  • Give out free hugs to friends and family today!
  • Take turns playing with the dog outside.
  • Clean up a room in the house to help Mom and Dad out
